First QSO on HF - EVER
It's about damn time, made my first QSO on HF.
I used 5 watts on a Packtenna EFRW antenna, about 29 feet on a tree branch in my Father-in-law's backyard.
I talked to a person in NY, about 1250 miles away and got a 56/57 signal report to his 59 coming in to me. This was on 20 meters, at about 5:45PM.
And guess what else?
I was 2 kilohertz out of my band priviliges. So, to avoid the issue I am now studying for my Amateur Extra - luckily my FIL completed his recently and I have plenty of material and help to look forward to.

Onward and upward!
